...Went over to my mates place last night - her and her partner have a Grin reaper just by the loo for maximum exposure when people come around (she says its a wall issue )...given the print do you guys think thats reasonable?! Also offered to buy it for a generous 6k which was refused - was i lucky in getting away with it OR is she getting the better deal hanging on to it?! cheers! ;D

...I know but if i had offered her 4k she would have laughed me out of sunny islington...and i agree - the detailing on the GR is fab but i seem to be in a minority - thanks for the responses

No one seemed keen on it even when it first come out. I remeber at santas ghetto 05 that they were saying that it was not selling, I think it will take a while. I stood in that ghetto looking at that print thinking ''No way, thats too much cash'' what about that monroe colourway? mmm 2k, way too much''. I need a time machine to change that moment in the ghetto, I also need to buy a house in 1986. Anyway, sorry, back in the room. This is not a touch on what he was doing at that time. Rambling now. carl go back to desk now. Carl do work. Carl block out Santas ghetto.

+1 for honesty Carlito. Should be a thread fo banksy moments like that!
Oh sh1t! I am so behind at work, this forum is killing my career.
Im not sure why it wasnt selling. Smiley faces werent to cool at that moment I think. Everyone just kept on piping on that Damien hirst loved it and Damiens brother had it tatood on his arm (how he gonna sell that I thought!)
Anyway, need to block out that ghetto day. '' How much is that rat sprayed onto that rock?'' ''7k! F$ck off!! I will make my own!!

It's my favourite Banksy print so far. With Bond and Carlito - should have piled in and got one ages ago.

Because it was £400 - about 3x the price of anything else POW had sold before that. IMO.
