In a few weeks you will be able to pick one of these up for £100. There are already 30 on Ebay.
There must also be a concern about authenticity, if they were found in the street there is no provenance and nothing stopping a batch of copies being made.

£100 would be absolutely great. But i'm not so sure. I think the prices they're going for at this moment in time won't last, but current demand will keep prices very strong. Right now the world and his wife wants one. When it eventually calms down they may realise £250 to £300 mark eventually. I hope they do anyway!

That is really nice, but how do you prove it is real. The Adam Neate show is great, don't get me wrong and I love the image but I have learned One very important thing in the decade I have been collecting Art, always get COA.
These street pieces are great fun and good luck to the people who found them, but a humble word of advice IMO to anyone who wants to buy one, save your money for a piece with COA.

i think the ones later down the line could get dodgy, but the way these are packaged as stamped etc its going to be quite difficult to fake these, especially with the numbers and codes on the back and sourcing the right carboard and staples etc. You could spot a fake a mile off, just buy ones that are sealed.

Jboy,
I wish the art world was that honest. The reality though is that the pieces are not that hard to fake and with no official COA it makes it very easy to fake, even the shrink wrap is not rocket science.

maybe not, but i dont expect fakes this early in the day, i think you would be able to spot one a mile away

you will be able to tell just by matching them up to a real one. im not a fraudster so i dont know, i just think you will be able to tell. There is a structure to these more so than with past neate street pieces, there is things that will be hard to copy. Show me a copy when (if) one comes along and bet i can spot it

I like your optimism Jboy, You are very trusting. I can just see problems for people who pay 600 to 1000 quid for a piece of art which was left in the street with no COA. in years to come you will never be able to prove it's real, or more to the point you will never be able to prove a fake was not just found in the street on that night.

you just make sure you buy it from the reputable sources on ebay, people that have good feedback ratings and dealings with art pieces.
No good shop or ebay seller will want to lose their whole reputation by selling 1 fake, but a new account or an account with low feedback ratings would.
