I just want to add that Nick is a great guy to deal with I couldn't afford the canvas I talked to him about. But he was quick to reply and very courteous. In the world of pompous art p*icks Nick is a class act I will support him more in the future. Cheers man!

Yeah I agree, very quick to respond. Which was a shame because he said he wasn't going to a print release of headless astronaut for me. I still think 1,500 quid for a 1/10 canvas is overpriced, especially considering I could buy 2 of those sparkly HATE's for that much $$$

sure is. I actually took the photo's for him that he created that stencil from. My wife was the model, he photoshopped her out and put the vandal in.

Wow, that is a cool story. I recognised the opera house but just assumed he would've used a pic off the net.

it's there, just the top is popping through behind the third tall building from the left.
Note: a Cross local? I recently moved to a new office from doing several years on kellett St. (mind the syringes!)

I'm certainly not envious of Mr Walker having to cut out all of those windows. Was the photo printed out onto overhead transparency's and then cut out with a pen knife or is that just cardboard?

Are they stencils for spraying a canvas, or photographic films for screenprints, I'd be amazed if they were cut out stencils.

I know that Nick did the "Peace" stencil by hand,i spoke with him about that particular stencil, took him ages to cut it. You gotta say tho, this canvas is bloody amazing aint it?

Ahh OK, a canvas, I couldn't tell for sure from the photo.
I wonder if this will be in the workshop show next month? Also wondering if that show will launch the first moona prints - would be a nice coup for the workshop and well deserved.

woah.. does anyone think he is pushing his luck a little? I know he is a great artist but his prices seem to be rising quite quickly. He even raised the price of Mona Shot by £100 about half way through. I am glad i bought mine when it was £150 even though that still seemed a lot then!

I think if you take a look at the thread from December 2006 show on Nick's forum the price for The Morning After was actually £2k. To me and many others it was the star of the show. I even for a few mad moments seriously thought about buying it even though I did not have the money. Briefly talked to Nick but probably because things were flying off the wall and tables he was keen to stick to £2k price. He offered to do me an edition if show piece went but looking at site today seems like the edition was 3 and they now have all gone. It is far to say Nick's prices have gone up but so have everyone else, I suppose its a bit of supply and demand, at present shed loads of demand hence prices high. I am glad I already have a few pieces of Nick's work as with today's prices I could never afford to build such a collection again. That said Nick normally has some more affordable pieces, really pleased with Vandal print got at Christmas show. For those like me with more modest budgets lets hope some of these fabulous new works come out as prints as well as I for one can no longer afford canvases With regards to the latest morning after, although from Bristol area and as said above loved the original, I think its brilliant and as a few people have said lets hope Nick does it as a print. With regards price, yes its a lot of money and there is no way I could afford it but assuming I and Nick have not got our cm and inches mixed up, the new piece is a massive canvas hence step increase in price from original morning after. Is The Morning After going to be a series, as for one I think Vandal would look great in Red Square!!!!
