Damien Hirst • Where the Land Meets the Sea, by maven on Aug 3, 2023 17:15:44 GMT 1, Picked up the 3 signed posters, tote bag and book. I know it is not for everyone but I would like one of these WLMS editions.

Damien Hirst • Where the Land Meets the Sea, by blurp on Aug 3, 2023 17:48:09 GMT 1, So lazy. I don't understand why it is so hard to just sign them on the front instead of a bunch of stickers. So Hirst never comes anywhere near touching these aside from putting the money in his pocket. At least the spin art was hand signed. They may not last / may rub off / not permanent

Damien Hirst • Where the Land Meets the Sea, by Grillocracy on Aug 3, 2023 22:47:02 GMT 1, I've got money that I've been sitting on for my first Hirst, thinking eventually there will be a decent release but they just get worse and worse. I guess the ship has sailed on real print releases and we are now left with photos on aluminum or DIY 80's style spin art.

Damien Hirst • Where the Land Meets the Sea, by its all about me on Aug 4, 2023 9:50:58 GMT 1, Is it just me or are Damien Hirst releases getting really tedious these days. There was a time when you could purchase beautiful spot prints on proper paper hand-signed and a limited edition of just 100. Those glory days seem to be well and truly over. Now all we get offered are these horrible shiny photographs of originals that weren't very good to start with. Easy pass for me. I've enough of this shiny dibond crap in my house already.

If they would have released the current bunch on paper or canvas, I would be in. That said, I am to receive a spin painting so no actual need for any more DH

Damien Hirst • Where the Land Meets the Sea, by The Italian One on Aug 4, 2023 10:07:18 GMT 1, I like Hirst but I have the feeling that all Heni editions will be worthless in the near future, too many too much and body of work too lazy..
look what happened to Dali prints
bit tired of all those timed editions

i can't accept , for that price, a signed label of paper on the back that with the passing of the years it revives or falls.
prints on wove paper it's surely different! buy original canvas for less and support new artists

Damien Hirst • Where the Land Meets the Sea, by KenSentMe on Aug 4, 2023 11:17:58 GMT 1, These photos remind me of glossy giant floor tiles. FWIW, I actually like the artwork, but Heni need to start using a Matt finish before I could commit to buying - the Gloss finish puts me off every time. This indeed looks terrible. 100% Pass.

But that level of gloss and consequent reflection is absolutely terrible

Damien Hirst • Where the Land Meets the Sea, by Winter on Aug 4, 2023 12:06:57 GMT 1, When you look at some of the Hirst editions from the past they really are incredibly produced and things of beauty. The range of foil butterflies, the skulls, the lovely woodcut spots each with their own texture. It really has just come down to Ctrl+P art from Heni and DH must realise what is being pumped out is sub-standard shiny tat. The recent Brian Clarke Heni 'Collages' were really poor and ironically couldn't have been less collaged. Thankfully the majority of artists aren't purely motivated by money and recognise the art of editions and continue to use more appropriate and beautiful methods to execute their work.

Damien Hirst • Where the Land Meets the Sea, by sleepyl on Aug 4, 2023 13:18:45 GMT 1, On one hand, that **** is utter crap. On the other hand, the more ppl buy it, the less money they have for good art, so the more likely I can secure something decent from another artist. It's a win-win.
In conclusion, wow, much good art, strong painting, excellent skillz, everyone buy this!
