There are rumours about one half of Miss Bugs being a very well known artist under a different guise. This could be it, I think this has contributed a lot to the Miss Bugs Mania as a whole

Miss Bugs does work on the street, but overall its just because he is a good artist! There is a lot of bad art and pointless prints out at the moment. People are just buying what they like.

what is the point in this thread ?
are u wanting us to say the reason miss bugs is sucessful is x, and then everyone goes ahhhhhhh thats why, and now everyone knows how to be sucessful, and never a bad print is released again, then we all go singing into the sunset as the miss bugs we all have makes us millionaires

how about yesterdays print edition of 100 not hand finished ? It will be worth £500k at least. Not so sure on yesterdays release. It sold out but I dont think there is alot of love around it, like the others. I think a good number could have been boughten with eventual re-sale in mind which will keep the price down (and is exactly the reason the earlier pieces not bought for this reason are going up).

Not my cup of tea whoever it is.
Over-hyped and over-priced.

www.ink-d.co.uk/ArtistProfile.asp?ArtistID=23Miss bugs profile on Ink-D Born in Bristol in 1979 but founded in early 2007, the MissBugs partnership consists of two people - boy and girl - Miss & Bugs - Bugs being the creative force and Miss being the muse and trusty lookout. MissBugs draws inspiration from television, cartoons, news events, celebrities and religion. Continuously exploring these areas in his work; at times taking a dark and humorous approach, mixing religion with pornography or looking at the art world with a sometime cynical eye. His use of iconic symbols as a source of inspiration with imagery from popular culture such as Bugs Bunny, is used and remixed to represent a personal ideal or cultural stance or just sometime simple nostalgia for a man in a red cape and pants on the outside of his blue leggings.

I heard Miss Bugs was the name given to a computer software program designed to make random street art chiched images? Is there any truth in this?

Not my cup of tea whoever it is. Over-hyped and over-priced. :-) I dont think they are overpriced at sub £100 with small editions and hand finished. Hype wise, I can never get my head around this hype thing, I dont understand how it starts with certain artists, and not others. Bottom line for me is, If I like it and can afford it, I buy it, If i dont or cant then.............. The exception are people like Miss Bugs who I got into when they did a freebee for the first 5 people to PM them for a free Print last year. I won a WAOD and have been collecting anything from them since because I was over the moon with the gesture and the work that had gone into the image, and have been with every other release To be honest though, I would like the hype to stop so I can carry on collecting their stuff. The ebay prices are just mad So if all of you could just go away and pick on another artist that would be cool Ta very much
