Visit LONDON ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by danvnuk on Feb 1, 2008 11:11:01 GMT 1, Borough Market definately, open from 9am Sat morning - get there early and get Breakfast in Monmouth Coffee - Best coffee in London, and all you can eat bread, jam and butter at communal tables for ยฃ2-50 last time I checked.
(may see you - I'll be there tomorrow)
I don't know where you from and where your interests lie - but If you get there early - you can then check out the George Inn in Borough high st - only surviving galleried Inn in Lonodn - dates from 1600 or so.
And then Head to Portobello Rd Market, best off getting the Tube.
Or alternatively, if your into History - and you've never done it - Tower of London is brilliant and for the money - fantastic value.
If your in the area - Butlers Wharf Chop House - in the Bar area - no bookings needed - ยฃ12 or so for two courses, ยฃ14 for 3 - views of Tower Bridge - and the foods great.
Also - a walk down the South Bank is nice if the weathers ok.
Sunday Morning - goto Spitalfields Market, which is brilliant - and check out Brick Lane - loads of street art - make sure to go in the Ten Bellls pub for a look at a pretty much untouched (but sort of cool when it's not full of tourists) Victorian Pub - and it has links to Jack the Ripper (see below)
Canteen Restaurant in Spitalfields is good.
If you've not done it - it's touristy but fun - Jack the Ripper walk - normally go from Tower Hill Station in the evening - London Walks are the best ones - The Jack the Ripper guy is a world renowned expert on the subject. Think it costs about a ยฃ5
Best of All - again - if you've got any interest in History at all - goto the City of London Museum - near Barbican. IMO - the best and most fascinating museum in London - and it's free

Much nicer, smaller, cheaper and there is a great Ghanain food stall there or you can have a fabulous crepe. Go to My Life In Art and see the new exhibition from The Little Artists which opens tomorrow (I think). Then head in to town and do all of the stuff everyone else has suggested.

Visit LONDON ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by guest2 on Feb 1, 2008 14:15:23 GMT 1, stay away from London transport at rush hour and after dark. Where a stab jacket like the rest of us at all times and don't leave the safety of your hotel room without your man bag and your mace. Don't look no-one in the eye and if anyone says 'have you got the time mate' just keep walking and don't look back. And if you are unfortunate to catch someones eye by mistake and they smile at you, don't smile back, they are probably dangerous!
Apart from those great tips, Enjoy London ;D ;D ;D

the council - or clear channel should do the right thing and uncover the Happy Choppers - with the rep banksy has now it'd be like a national treasure - everyone would stop - it's next to a nice little square where you could sit and look at it too - as it is you can see a tiny bit
is it 'nice day' or 'have a nice day' you can just see on it?
I think this is one of Banksys best

Its behind a bill board, and that has to be the worst take away in Shoreditch
