Well Tommy you were essentially scammed. You bought and paid for a piece. It's value went up substantially and he didn't send it. 

Very good way to scam people and make a lot of money. Sell 100 pieces. Send the 80 that go down or stay flat and refund 20

Reminds me of something that happened in one of the FB art groups. Guy out of Australia named Benny Jean Norris sold someone an Edgar Plans original (for a few thousand bucks if I recall), prices went up and BJ decided he'd rather send it to auction, which is when the buyer learned he wasn't getting the piece he'd bought.

That's funny, of course there was an agreement in place. The fact the monies were transferred is proof enough of that.

Thankful I got my money back and also that others have had better dealings than I had.

Funnily enough the piece I agreed to buy is now back on the market at a much more inflated price.

Screenshot of the communication would be helpful. I've definitely had people in the past send me $$ before a deal has been made trying to jump ahead of the line. That's why I don't post my email any longer

Yes I have been fortunate with the Kencut I have. I just managed to get a 120cm tondo which is very cool.
