Prescription Art Not Responsive , by Deleted on Jul 15, 2019 17:26:04 GMT 1, He has a perfect right to be annoyed. He's been given no time at all to sort it out, before the problem was made public. He runs a business. Anyone would feel the same. I e-mail galleries and usually get a reply within 30 minutes or, at worst, within a couple of hours. It's pretty easy to keep customers happy. It's not rocket science, it really isn't.
people have lives
Weekends are meant to be time off, or at least should be
this 24/7 bullshit does my nut in, why must people respond instantly? be controlled by phones texts emails twitter, instagram, facebook, whattsapp over the weekend and week days after say 6 pm,and before say 9 am? It is going to shorten our lives and add zero value to it

Rough with the smooth. If you donโt want the benefits of working for yourself donโt become your own boss.
If you donโt want social media invading your spare time try running an art business without it.
I wonder if I had IG messaged about buying something over the weekend Iโd have got a reply.

Prescription Art Not Responsive , by Inknart on Jul 15, 2019 18:09:44 GMT 1, Why would he not start a thread? Away from the drama of the refund, the gallery has advertised something as mint when it isn't. Who knows, thanks to this thread it might stop other people being sold wrongly advertised pieces from this gallery. I certainly wouldn't purchase from them. Everyone saying how the gallery is good they will sort it, if so good it wouldn't be advertised and sold incorrectly in the first place. How do you know it was advertised as โmintโ? Prints are never mint ever when fresh off the print, its just a stupid terminology created by forumites to give themselves some sort of false security in selling or buying. If I was PA I would be asking questions, it could be possible some manhandling or mistreatment of the print was done en route the buyer. Plus he sounds like a right proper whinny dick, why would anyone jump to his petulance. Funny watching some wade in with their pitchforks for a nember with a few months history vs someone who has a good standing for over 13 years. Whinny Dick? Honestly, i'm out over 20k and still have not heard a word. Mark at PFG leaves end of this week for a month and I would like to get this sorted and have heard nothing. Simple communication would suffice, I don't think i'm asking for too much.
Have 3 emails stating it was perfect after confirming again and again to ensure I was getting the exact piece i was in the market for, and paying a top top dollar for said condition. Also, pretty sure i've been around longer than few months.

Itโs life in the 21st Manty
We live in a digital age where customers are more accessible and businesses are more accountable.
Youโre right about being way older than me though ๐

Mark at PFG leaves end of this week for a month and I would like to get this sorted and have heard nothing. Simple communication would suffice, I don't think i'm asking for too much. Have 3 emails stating it was perfect after confirming again and again to ensure I was getting the exact piece i was in the market for, and paying a top top dollar for said condition. Also, pretty sure i've been around longer than few months. 1. Yea whinny dick 2. Perfect isnโt mint 3. Youโre not out anything - let James sort it, coz he will, you stamping your feet wont get it done faster, and your post make you sound like a child.
Breathe ffs

Agreed, the LA prints particularly come to mind, as well as, specific APs which in some cases were marked considerably - in the eyes of what they were and the process, they were as they should be expected. Iโve also had prints with markings on the reverse from the process, where the image was indeed perfect.

Prescription Art Not Responsive , by thebot on Jul 15, 2019 19:30:20 GMT 1, I ordered a pair of trainers (sneakers) from JD Sports. Huge internet social media presence. 21st of December last year. Never turned up, it took about a month to get a refund and getting any response from them was really hard going.
James really helped me out last year, something he really didn't need to do!

Send the print back and get your refund- not the other way around. If you are getting framed then you are accepting it as it is

Prescription Art Not Responsive , by J0NNY on Jul 15, 2019 22:13:33 GMT 1, It's a pretty weird dystopia to see people on an art forum defend a galleries shady dealings and attack the guy that got lied to and told his money is somewhere in limbo.
Doesnโt surprise me one bit, was not so long ago that the same people were vouching for Rottonredrooster on here.

The amount of trades that happen on here means that we all to an extent rely on references (Iโm regularly asked to provide them). Inevitably there will be occasions when it goes wrong; itโs not a fail safe system, and should only be a part of anyoneโs due diligence. But this forum is all the better for the trust it helps instil, imo. If members are criticised for having given a reference, on the rare occasion that it goes wrong, it wonโt take long before we all stop giving them.

Why not for the sake of transparency tell the forum of your own messed up purchase where you gave PA the wrong address to deliver, and how you flew off the handle about it?
See how reputations can easily be destroyed by shouty people with unfounded and quite malicious attacks.
I think it is only right that if the buyer wants a refund, then be returns the print, or use a trusted 3rd party to act as an intermediary, if trust has been eroded on both sides. But dragging other shouty kids in to the mix only belittles this forum.
