Jonas Wood @ Christie’s : $4,9mio, by Winter on May 17, 2019 17:49:04 GMT 1, I saw another of his Japansese garden pieces in person and it was something else. Possibly one of my favourite paintings ever.

Like within the last 12-18 months. Yes, I think it was only a year ago or two ago he broke the $1million dollar mark at auction and now $5mil. Very difficult now to get any prints at source, let alone an original work on paper and canvases are in another league.

I think the issue here is that people don’t realize that I’m a teenage girl.

Vote prints trading hands for $2500 makes squirreling away another few very tempting. I can’t afford the $15-20k prints but an editioned print for $2500 seems like a bargain.

Jonas Wood @ Christie’s : $4,9mio, by coller on May 17, 2019 20:02:47 GMT 1, vote prints are cheap now because a lot of people got 2-3 of them with no intention of keeping and are unloading imo, will probably change once the flippers finish selling off. also not the easiest print to hang.
just my opinion, don't hold me to it!

You, but you'll just resell. urbanartassociation.com/thread/155980/jonas-wood-pots-special-edition
And plant pot urbanartassociation.com/thread/153481/jonas-wood-landscape-plant-2017
But you already know where to look because you bought one just last week.
Greetings, If anyone on here was lucky enough to land the new PRINTS special edition book or have another JBRW special editions book...please PM me as I am looking, trying to track down anyone who owns and would be open to parting with.
Discreet. let me know- thanks again!
Certainly a tough one. Picked up another the other day. They are out there. GLWS.

Jonas Wood @ Christie’s : $4,9mio, by Wearology on May 20, 2019 1:12:45 GMT 1, Have the lines been blurred between what the role is of an auction house in 2019 ? Is Sotheby's, Christie's, Phillip's, Bonhams, etc a seller, investor, guarantor or a financial arm of wealthy individuals, families & or institutions ? Do you think 3rd party guarantors are good or bad for the art market ?

Jonas Wood @ Christie’s : $4,9mio, by Express Post on May 20, 2019 1:19:16 GMT 1, It comes down to who is underwriting those guarantees.but it is mostly fixed by an investor or group of investors. Usually they back it for an agreed amount and depending on the terms, anything higher than that, they take share in the buyer's premium if not the whole bp. Sometimes the house doesn't make a cent and uses the sale as pr to drum up interest. Let's be honest, almost everyone on here doesn't shop at the evening auctions, so you've got nothing to worry about.
