SOULED OUT SHOW - Photos, by dogant on Feb 29, 2008 2:32:10 GMT 1,
Nice pictures- many thanks for the post.
Just got back home - long train & taxi!
Great night - great fun downstairs, cracking art, too much booze, too much sold before I walked in (and I was one of the first - 50 prints eft for the general public - all AP's gone!) - but still a good night.
Picked up a lies print (pnk is so good) and also a newspaper post!
Many thanks all.

SOULED OUT SHOW - Photos, by hanky on Feb 29, 2008 10:47:52 GMT 1, Great pictures romanywg and nice to meet up with yourself and some other forum members
Errrr shame you had to leave and go to the opera just before we got in the door! but as is mentioned earlier it was quite tight on the prints I left with #71. Like others also had a few free beers and enjoyed myself probably more than I should.

SOULED OUT SHOW - Photos, by hanky on Feb 29, 2008 16:15:33 GMT 1, Errrr posts on the website and was queueing with me. He was expecting to get let in at 6 when it was due to open. However due to a variety of reasons of bad queue management, by the time we got to the door [about 7] to be let in he got a call and had to leave to go to the opera!!

SOULED OUT SHOW - Photos, by vital on Mar 1, 2008 21:02:15 GMT 1, Wicked show the music down stairs was excellent all the art was nice especially mau mau and Luc Price is the dude
thanks bro
i was DJing and recorded the whole night - once i have got it off the mini disc i shall make it into MP3 and post it on here as a download..
below a couple of pics - big up to TLSG for not enforcing the smoking ban..the bit of paper with 'no smoking' written on it stayed up long enough for me to take this photo and then it was gone..the amount of people smoking in there was like an art installation in itself..dogtown represent...
here is a close up of the beejoir gold leaf thing..when i held a piece of this gold leaf it disintergrates so quickly between your fingers with virtually no pressure at all so it is insane that he used 4000 pieces on this - must have taken literally months
i really liked this large canvas by Mau Mau
and this one is my personal favourite...sold to a very famous DJ (alas not me! haha)

SOULED OUT SHOW - Photos, by a4mnt on Mar 1, 2008 21:56:32 GMT 1, shit the bed. a thread about the souled out show and its nothing but photos of art.
romanywg, i did finally meet you and i vaguely seem to remember you saying that you'd avoided me previously. i could be imagining it but i think you've got a good game plan going on there if i remember correctly.
i didn't see the pics of Matt Small bleeding thankfully, but was in the toilet as it all happened. don't know why he was bleeding but know that TLSG guys sorted it quickly. it all seemed to conincide with the beer drying up, so could have been Matt's natural reaction to not being able to have a drink.

Great night, managed to walk past the Dragon Bar as I didn't fancy a £60 Taxi fare back at 3 in the morning. I know. I'm a lightweight!

SOULED OUT SHOW - Photos, by scavos on Mar 2, 2008 3:12:08 GMT 1, Great pics thanks Romanywg. Good to meet you again and actually have time for a chat.
Really enjoyed the show with each artist delivering the goods. I thought the huge gold leaf piece by Beejoir was stunning. Trackie Emin - inspired!
The tiger mau mau canvas - what a talent. And Luc's work is going from strength to strength, with his best work to date. The t-shirt did it for me.
The 'believing standard' headers were spot on whether they've been done before or not. They're a testament to the times we're in and certainly work for me as a collection of relevant statements.
All in all, I had a superb day after meeting up with coach and hitting Pure Evil's fascinating shop, adding to my ever increasing wish list.
On leaving the shop and venturing around the back I spotted a piece of wood leaning against one of the skips with ACE tagged on it. On turning it over it had his Mugabe(?) screen on it with lush pink splashes all over it. I'd like to think I've saved it from impending refuse collection and now happy to report it resides right next to me as a left side wall leaning installation for my pleasure whilst tapping my pc keyboard. Thank you ACE whoever you are - any info would be greatly appreciated. I know a little but if anyone can enlighten me further then please get in touch.
So then it was onto the Bortusk Leer (see arcam's avatar) exhibition where a couple of originals were purchased at an amazingly cheap price from Tony, the gallery owner who happens to be such a lovely guy. Leer's art simply makes me smile!
Then onto the pub for a couple of lagers in prep for the queue. Realised we didn't have to queue for so long if we didn't want a Lies print, which we didn't (not my cuppa) so managed to have a good look around before it got too busy.
Great to meet the usual suspects, art-el, slammer, curley, ratmas..., yomster, cracka, danvuk, johno, frankie, luc, chris, matt, PE, butterfly, bigman, romanywg - sorry to anyone I've missed.
Left with my all time favourite print as mentioned many times within these boards CG 150 (thanks Frankie ) and my hera gift that I left at tlsg last time. Didn't have time to get to collect the Harrington book or see Choe's show at Laz and still managed to miss my train home. Thanks to coach for putting me up and putting up with me gloating about my ACE. "Street piece". ;D
