3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by mojo on Aug 7, 2018 12:30:01 GMT 1, This thread is getting really tedious ....3D should be respected in his own right as an internationally recognized and successful artist. As should Banksy regardless to whether their identity is known or not.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by met on Aug 7, 2018 13:15:55 GMT 1, Not really. Who are these people that know? You make it sound like hundreds maybe thousands know. Is that what you think? Man you have some great faith in humanity if you think hundreds know and don't settle for a Payday when all they'd have to do is reveal it. And you think they don't release it because it's not important? That's hilarious because the most important thing about banksys rise to popularity was his anonimity. Now it's not important? You disagree? Man and to be clear none of my comments on this subject should be interpreted as negative towards banksy the artist. Honestly I give my hats off to him cause he is pulling the wool over his fans eyes if now he has them believing his anonimity isn't important. Wow what a feat by banksy. If his anonimity isn't important why does he stay anonomous? If you only and we're one question in this post can you answer that one for me? See. Again you get a proper, clear answer and choose to ignore the obvious facts and rant on about some other aspect of what I wrote. The endless cycle continues.Banksy has friends and ex work colleagues, unless he's a hermit! Is that what you think? Do you think no one knows who he is? Because that's the conclusion of what you're saying. Another little point... I do wonder why none of those people who know him have tried to cash in, especially if Banksy IS celebrity musician 3D. That would be surprising. Perhaps if Banksy actually is Robin Gunningham that would explain it? No story to tell.
The following point has been made a number of times. Including by me, such as here, here, and most recently (five months ago) here.
In essence, it's always the same message.
Since repetition can be tiresome, I make the effort of introducing variety to the manner in which the point is expressed. By resorting to humour. Or alternatively to brusqueness. And by appealing to the relevant members' sense of courtesy towards other readers (dare I even say "civic duty").
My ongoing hope is that, one day, the message will eventually stick. For the sake of everybody's mental health.

When accessing this platform, the image of Hannah Simpson's knitted Freddy is an avatar I keep an eye out for, because I enjoy your posts on the whole.
That said, you're also a recidivist contributor to the "endless cycle" you've referred to above.
You perpetuate this cycle โ and yet also repeatedly complain about it, as if it were not (at least partly) of your own making.
I would submit that greater potential lies elsewhere for exchanges on the forum that are viewed as more productive.

I hope you do realize that your posts on this forum are exact proof of what you are preaching against.
I'm not saying it's a bad thing but the nature of discussion and theory on a subject such as art is inherently a cycle.
I don't understand the arrogance to try and rail against it or make other members feel less adequate or hint they are not allowed to post.
The theory of art is a discussion that will never end.

Why are questions not allowed?
I guess you have no interest in a discussion. Just say it then.
Art history is all about questions so I'm not sure why so many get offended. Questions lead to discussion.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by jimbofatz on Aug 8, 2018 1:30:24 GMT 1, Go for it.....been up for days.
Surely it should be worth more if it was an original banksy??? Someone has to know the truth and would have bought it by now. Knowing it will skyrocket in value.
He must not be Banksy....
The last Robin Gunningham yearbook with his art in it which was posted on here had no offers and got sold off on ebay for a lousy 300 pounds.
So by the people in the know would scoop it all up logic... you are out 3D, Robin Gunningham.
But the reality is....
3D is BANKSY and Robin Gunningham is an old punk who's brilliant at carrying paint and tape.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by jimbofatz on Aug 8, 2018 4:49:00 GMT 1, This thread is getting really tedious ....3D should be respected in his own right as an internationally recognized and successful artist. As should Banksy regardless to whether their identity is known or not.
3D is an amazing artist. No one is saying otherwise. Laz who manages his art career and how he's promoted posts pictures of him alluding to him being Banksy. I agree this would be very distracting/poor taste (especially by a manager with such a well known client) and if he wasn't actually involved in banksy-- it would never be tolerated.
That should be enough proof right there.
What's said in this thread who really cares? Its the complete opposite of what Laz/3Ds relationship is --professional and well thought out.

"Sea lioning.
Repeated and relentless questioning, often times after the question has been explained in detail multiple times. The sea lion will insist they are acting perfectly civilly, but they are really just trying to delay you as long as possible and derail the conversion. The name comes from a webcomic frame."

Where are the answers to my questions?
If it's been discussed previously maybe I missed it. Sorry I haven't read every thread on the forum.
I'm also confused by that comic. There was no answers in the comic for the sea lion so how can the explanation say it was previously explained? However it is a funny comic.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by met on Aug 17, 2018 17:40:31 GMT 1, Robert Del Naja is clearly Banksy. I really don't get how anyone can think differently. I would love to have my mind blown and changed at this point....but not likely. One of these days the truth will out, or in some way at least become clear to you, and youโll sorely realise just how much of this short lifeโs all too precious time youโve wasted on your wildly incorrect theory. I hope that time comes for you sooner rather than later.
In a post written last year, I made reference to odd fixations on famous strangers.
The behaviour is easier to understand with young teenagers. They may be infatuated and chatter non-stop about, say, Leif Garrett. Or Limahl. Or Justin Bieber. In those cases, the relevant kids soon get over it. We're usually talking about harmless, temporary phases.
But when the obsessor is an adult, it becomes disconcerting. When 90% of their posts are about the same subject and artist, that makes for uncomfortable reading. To the point where I start feeling vicariously a bit anxious, as if in the presence of a genuine mental health issue.
__________
I share the hope you've expressed for a future realisation by this forum member, regarding the brevity of our time on earth and his incorrect theory.
However, I'm also aware of the psychological barriers to such an awakening. We repeatedly see these types of things. For example, when moon-landing deniers are presented with irrefutable evidence of the Apollo program, along with comprehensive rebuttals to their NASA-hoax claims.
Perhaps a different approach may therefore be more fruitful:
Consider the best-case scenario in the mind of this member. What would it be?
My guess is that it involves managing to convince the world 3D is Banksy.
Leaving reality aside here, let's just assume he finally succeeds. Then what?
Eventually, lying on a deathbed, he'll look back and contemplate the number of years he obsessed over 3D and Banksy in order to prove both were one and the same.
Now query whether, at this point โ having actually achieved his ideal outcome โ he'll congratulate himself over his time and life well-spent.
Robert Del Naja is clearly Banksy. __________ I share the hope you've expressed for a future realisation by this forum member, regarding the brevity of our time on earth and his incorrect theory. I am well aware of the fact that even though 'best case scenario' and by 'chance' I may actually say some things that turn out to be true I've spouted off more than enough things to discredit myself amongst you weirdos on here. Did you ever think possibly that I am slightly being a parody of you.
You've got 1405 posts and 4 stars on an internet message board. I worry for you.
Plus 3D is Banksy.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by jimbofatz on Aug 18, 2018 13:10:13 GMT 1, Here's what I'm thinking its not as far fetched as you make it out to be...
We know that the Gunningham story the Daily Mail put together fell apart when it led to his wife. Who they called "very secretive" and "that she normally lives as a virtual recluse." Meanwhile the actual truth is she has made over 51 thousand twitter posts, is in and out of public government and can be found in leadership roles at demonstrations almost weekly. She also is more than happy and jokingly refers to herself as Mrs. Banksy as do her friends when addressing her.
My point has always been similar to Laz's in this video..."I think if Banksy even tried to reveal his identity no one would believe him we've put out so many fake news stories over the years".
Now this of course does not automatically mean that 3D is Banksy but at this point without a major detailed reveal which seems less and less likely the DRAW will go to him.
Most people on here with common sense know there are multiple people involved in Banksy. What I am discussing is who will eventually be singled out as the artist Banksy because someone will be art needs to be sold and investments protected -- certain people involved will get a bigger push. The idea of him being a solitary mystery man who doesn't like working with people is akin to a flat earthers theory in my opinion at this point .
Also, the earth is round.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by moron on Aug 18, 2018 18:53:04 GMT 1, I would say that most of the people if not all of the people on here who say Jimbo does not know who Banksy is have no idea who Banksy is themselves and the ones that do will never say publicly.
Banksy is not Del Naja because _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
best answer wins the star ship enterprise

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by Pysgod on Oct 19, 2018 14:21:56 GMT 1, In April of this year, Massive encoded their 1998 album Mezzanine into DNA. The album is now available in spray paint. A limited number of spray cans will contain the DNA encoded audio within matt black paint. Each can will contain approximately one million copies of the album
The encoding process is described below by Dr Robert Grass of TurboBeads:
โThis digital bitstream of the album (0s and 1s) was first translated to 901โ065 DNA sequences (A, C, T and Gs), each 105 characters long, and closely following our publication (Grass et al. Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2015, link: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/anie.201411378). The 901โ065 individual sequences were then chemically synthesised resulting in a synthetic DNA sample, which fully represents the digital bitstream of the album. To enable the mixing of the DNA with the spray can paint and to guarantee information stability, the DNA sequences were encapsulated in synthetic glass fossils (see: www.bbc.com/future/story/20130329-tiny-glass-bottles-protect-dna) and then directly added to the spray can. We ensured that every spray can contains at least 0.1 micrograms of the synthetic DNA, which is equivalent to 1 million copies of the album. This is only possible due to the immense data capacity of DNA (about 100 exabytes per gram)โ
Massive Attackโs 3D, also known as a graffiti artist, said:
โIt's an interesting way to vandalise your back catalogue, although DNA-encoded spray paint is unlikely to be adopted by street artists seeking anonymityโ
