3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by jimbofatz on Aug 31, 2017 2:50:54 GMT 1, I've noticed now the "In Baghdad" print by 3D is gone off the pictures on walls site. In Europe WAS sold out but has since reappeared. The monstrous 600 edition signed 90 pound prints maybe gone soon...
Put the Banksy rumors aside if Robert Del Naja can sell 2400 prints and move close to a quarter million pounds worth of art prints that puts him up there as one of the top selling contemporary street artists maybe no. 2 behind Banksy at this point.

I think you are forgetting Shepard Fairey, who moves 2400 prints some months.
Seriously though(and that 2400/month might actually be serious), I'd think Shepard still firmly sits on the rung just below Banksy(and was much closer a few years ago before Banksy's print market smoked crack).

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by jimbofatz on Aug 31, 2017 12:51:37 GMT 1, The "monsterous" 600 edition nearly sold out? I hope you realise that this edition has been on sale for over 12 years..... I know-- it's going to be strange not seeing them all on the site after so long. For sure a piece of POW history.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by Deleted on Aug 31, 2017 23:48:26 GMT 1, I think that these are a bargain, ยฃ90 for a signed limited edition Del Naja!! I think they have been available for so long only because the masses are not aware of Urban Art, you watch when the media really starts to mention urban art as an investment. My advice is get them now while you can.
As far as numbers look at Signed Lowry prints most were editions of 850!! and now command prices of ยฃ1500 + at auction.....there's over 7 billion people on the planet, 600 is nothing.

Yes, you should buy as many as you can. Sell everything and buy 3D prints. Loads of them. All of them. Nom nom nom! Then? Magic beans...

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by jimbofatz on Sept 1, 2017 12:35:34 GMT 1, Urban Art is still built around cop and flip. Prints that have stuck around aren't going to be the hot new thing. Have any other prints ever slowly sold out over a decade? Most of the time if a print doesn't sell out on release crashing servers or there aren't line ups around the block that's it.
I would love to hear people explain their hate for the guy. The guy very likely influenced every print on your wall. I understand his work isn't bright pastels but instead of calling him magic beans and saying I won't even discuss this...maybe get into a discussion about why you like Green Day more than the Clash.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by Poly Mindset on Sept 1, 2017 17:31:37 GMT 1, I don't know about magic beans. However, I do think 3D does have his own style and it's originality shouldn't be discounted IMHO. Strictly judging his work on it's own merits is something that is getting some what lost in the shuffle, which to me is sad. I happen to like the majority of his work for what it is, not because of some alleged association with another name in art. The 3D prints offered by POW are a fantastic buy when placed against other galleries releasing far less original prints at higher prices. Take them for what they are and if you picked any up, well just enjoy them. What happened to hanging art in your house and just feeling good about the way the room looks? I often sit in my living room and when I'm low on funds say to myself, "well I could sell that piece or that piece", but in the end I pretty much always come to the same conclusion which is f**kNo!! It's taken a long time to get my place the way I like it and most of this stuff ain't going nowhere. It's hard to put a value on the intrinsic feeling and satisfaction of comfort. Enjoy your walls. So I guess in the end there is some inexplicable magic to the beans.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by jimbofatz on Sept 1, 2017 17:46:49 GMT 1, Meh, I guess it is to each their own but I really find the rumors about Del Naja/Banksy one of the most exciting things going on in the scene. If it was just tabloid fueled fine that'd be pretty gross but it's not... Banksy comments on it. Lazarides comments on it. Goldie comments on it. It comes at you from multiple legit sources, and legitimate investigation/research. I'd take that over.... price check for mr. brainwash please, price check for mr. brainwash. Like this scene is some kind of boring grocery store.
Del Naja is as**t disturber and his work is super dark and so messed up that no one who collects sneakers and drake drops would have it on their wall. I love it.

Comments on this are equal to the saying "Just cause someone says it, doesn't make it true". The only real comment that holds any water is from Del Naja himself " I'm not Banksy." Believe what you want but......In the end I think his work stands on it's own as quality. Maybe one day we will all find out who the real Banksy is, but then again, maybe not.

You're being obtuse, which makes you look silly. Del Naja isn't Banksy. Run with that fact.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by King Robbo Lives on Sept 2, 2017 5:16:47 GMT 1, I do find it hilarious how much pressure there is AGAINST the 3DNKSY theory... why not everyone else that's been offered up? Theories on them were welcomed because they weren't true. As Aurora says before this beautiful Tear Drop cover (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPTY6l_PX5k), "If you know who Banksy is, you should not share it"... which sounds quite like an agreement made to someone handed a Banksy or two.... I don't think that means those who do not know should not pursue the truth. I'd like to theorize that Banksy prefers to stay hidden due to criminal issues that would arise from Robbo's unsolved death

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by Deleted on Sept 2, 2017 13:15:44 GMT 1, Just adding my two penneth worth, I think 3D is a fantastic artist and the prints at ยฃ90 will prove to be an absolute bargain in years to come irrelevant of the edition size and irrelevant of how long they have been for sale for.
With regards to Del Naja being Banksy this is definitely a NO, I looked deeply into this a while back (nothing better to do with my time) and without a shadow of a doubt I believe Banksy is Robin Gunningham, I won't bother to go into great detail and bore you all but among other things and based on who he shared his address with in Bristol the evidence is just too strong to ignore, what I do find interesting though is that no further images of Robin appear in the press? Like he has just vanished from our glorious island, it is not difficult to get a current address so obviously his lawyers have a very good covenant in place preventing people from taking images and discussing him in the media. I am sure some on here have signed a confidentiality agreement also, you know who you are

Feel free to share details without feeling you will put people to sleep. Ive received a lot of PMs regarding this topic and I don't see the harm in putting it out there at this point. Especially with Goldie having said his name and never gone back on it. The moral high ground to talk about it is there if a friend of 30 years+ wont go back to lie about it. Overall, the evidence for Del Naja is well noted. The evidence for Gunningham is non-existent beside the geographic profiling (which is not an exact criminal science by any measure). In fact,
"Concepts relating to the explanation of spatial behaviour/geographic profiling include the least-effort principle where offenders are more likely to act on the first or opportunity."
That does not line up at all with well planned art projects where stencils need to be cut, supplies need to be brought and help needs to be there the majority of the time. It seems to be complete bullshit vs. the mountain of Del Naja evidence. This is the study that came up with the 3 addresses and pub. Anyone who's ever spent anytime in a pub would tell you they'd be happy to tell you whatever gets them another round.
So now you're down to a picture of a guy kneeling in Jamaica with a stencil behind him. Any of us could re-create that scene in our backyards in 5 minutes.
VERSUS
A MOUNTAIN OF EVIDENCE IT IS DEL NAJA.
My view on it is I would rather these prints go to people who at least know who he is and are in his forum (even if they are calling him magic beans) vs. when the next piece of news drops and the rush happens and they go to a bunch of cop and flip garbage people.

3D prints on POW selling out (600 signed In... editions), by Poesia on Sept 2, 2017 20:13:42 GMT 1, I think the saddest part of this thread is that this False attempt to Hype this artist takes away from the work and the artist himself. I actually am probably in the minority here in liking Del Naja's work more than I like Banksy's work. Nothing against Banksy and his importance, and place in street art history and now contemporary history, but personally I like the deeper work versus tongue and cheek work. That being said I really doubt these are the same artists regardless of all these rumors, I am sure they know each other really well and probably have worked together but my gut tells me that these are 2 separate people regardless of facts or rumors.
There is no reason why Banksy would ever need an alter ego for art if he was Del Naja, As I am sure the musical outlet would be enough to get any other artistic urgencies out. Why would he need a 3rd outlet to create personal work for his music career, thats like inception or something. The works seem inline with the real del naja and maybe due to his real friendship with Banksy he was urged to paint more outside music and dabbled in some artwork and prints. I see many musicians hang with their artist friends and pick up a brush to dabble. So unless Banksy is somehow schizophrenic and in need of mutiple personalities and personas I highly doubt they are the same. My 2 cents.

My 2 cents.

Robert Del Naja Euanwhosarmy 3D Massive Attack The Wild Bunch and others...
He's got multiple projects, under multiple names, for multiple different purposes.

Your still reaching, 3D was a Graf name del naja is real name. And as far as other musical projects it's typical for musicians to have multiple projects. Try again.

How have they been stored for 12yrs, anyone know? I got the set of these, arrived in great condition with no issues but I will be honest with you and say that I do not think the best quality materials were used.
Each print is 70 x 50cm so I intend to just frame them as a set in poster frames without mounts and they should look great.
