Dude come on, no one, especially McGregor is foolish enough to get disqualified and forfeit $100mil this is a legitimate fight and McGregor wants to concur the world in his mind.  He's putting everything into this, win or lose, hoping win though.

There was a very real chance of Conor landing that beautiful left hand he has and upsetting the boxing world, especially as Floyd is now the age he is. He was just outclassed and out manoeuvred and played into a boxers strengths. Conor is used to an explosive bout and having in done and dusted in a coupe of minutes. A boxer is trained in endurance and picking off a scrapper from a distance. Purely only the opinion of an amateur... that has been in and around the ring since about 1986. 😳😳

Shouldn't have took mayweather ten rounds imo. Floyds given to much respect for a scrappy fight, no big combinations just loads of body punches . For someone with his record I would have expect way more from floyd but agree with the age coming into play. Floyd should have looked amazing against a novice boxer, And what's with turning away all the time to have the fight broken up so he can reset himself.

Typical Mayweather, defensive scoring points and waiting for the other fighter to get frustrated and tired. I think they should deduct points for being defensive to encourage boxers to actually fight. Boxing is dead as a sport unless they change the rules and scoring.

Not sure how this is implemented as when I'm coaching 50% of my time is spent teaching a great defence and how not to get hit but drawing your opponent into your game plan.

I think the trouble is that boxing as it is doesn't entertain the public as ones like Mayweather use the rules to win fights by doing as little of actual fighting as possible.
Its like watching very defensive football, dull to watch and slowly kills the sport.

I thought McGregor did very well given the circumstances. He had clear stamina/conditioning problems, but I thought his defensive form, head maneuvering and footwork were particularly good. He just got so winded by the 4th/5th round.

Ali, Tyson, Marciano, calzaghe,Eubank, Ben, Naseem etc never fought like this. Mayweather has just been intent on keeping his record clean by running and hiding and not fighting his opponents, it's like a smart match boxing. He's been bragging about his accuracy etc it's all numbers to him not a fight, but I suppose it is a match. I like the ufc but started watching boxing as a child and moved on to ufc as I found it more entertaining . I prefer the ufc as it's not about a match although I think that's how it's going with people like woodley and st Pierre trying to win by point scoring instead of going all out. It all depends what entertains you, a defensive fight isn't my cup of tea. I have stepped in the ring but on a grass route level but fighting in Muay Thai not boxing or the ufc.

I thought mayweather was on the offensive most of the match and did not backpeddle at all. Connor looked like an awkward oaf, a tree trunk stuck in a shallow pool with one long right branch reaching out to check that it hasn't ventured too far from the edge of the pool...

All you people that love blood sports, in the arena baying for one opponent to smash the other to oblivion for your entertainment. When someone like Mayweather with defensive skills comes around, you armchair critics cry "it aint fair, I havent got my moneys worth". When these boxers end up brain damaged and parkinsons riddled, you all shout, "he was a beast in his prime". Fair play to both Mayweather and McGregor to get millions of you beer swilling, cheeto eating, middle aged spread wobbling, "I was a gladiator in my sleep" recessives.
