But the ugliness of this art doesn't really matter, because even if Banksy made the ugliest piece of crap you'd ever seen, if he signed his name to it, most of us would still be fighting for it He already did that, it was called 'Toxic Mary'. There's a reason that took ages to sell from POW: It's s**t! I regretted not "snapping one up", then slapped myself in the face for even thinking that, because if I had I would have been the worst kind of flipper - buying an artwork I actually thought was s**t, just to make a few (thousand) bob. I used to think it was ugly and that I wouldn't want it in my house, POW's description used to be 'and no one, absolutely no one wants to buy it'!! however when I saw it framed in the old Tom Tom shop I changed my mind about it. There are some things that just don't pan out properly when you see them on t'internet |

Have to agree Toxic Mary is a classic banksy.
just cos it was the last to sell at the time does not make her Ugly, in fact IMO she is rather lovely and on my wall. ;D

This is wrong, as soon as a fake is spotted or any other non-Banksy Banksy related print on e-bay, the whole forum goes nuts. It's not right e.t.c., which c@ck would honestly buy this blah, blah, blah. So what makes it right for a gallery to totally take the piss and make a healthy profit at the same time ?

I don't really get what the opposition is to people buying these canvases because they like the joke/message. I bought one... it's pretty worthless cos it's obviously nothing to do with Banksy, but for f**ks sake, why does buying have to be about value (can't a piece be appreciated for being a piece?)... and, before the next attack at them for being pretty poor and basic images arises, why does art always have to be about aestehtic appeal (why can't it be about message?).

Arts been carrying messages since cave paintings. I hate this stot s**t because it says noting to elevate the consciousness of the viewer beyond what we were doing thousands of years ago. In fact i think this twot is just into making money. full stop. And to me thats not art. Thats business.

Hello i think it's a great piss take out of the whole pop art industry...And how anal it has become alot of people on this forum seem to have the same prints on here.And it's like i've got this one and you hav'nt syndrome.Pretty sad if you asked me but each to there own...The thing is this type of art is about stealing bits of this one and that one and the whole thing provokes reaction which you need to make the art world tick otherwise it will be as anal as some of these subjects on here i can't sleep because i want the new banksy print.I've'got six in me shopping basket who wants one?me me mate...Its only a picture you can print it yourself...By the way i bought f**kin loads of those STOT21stCplanB canvases God i'm lucky.....Enjoy your weekend.....

just got my Chicken and C**ks canvas in the mail today. Very exciting. The best part of this whole experience was discovering the superb stick-man drawing on the back above the signature. What class. What an investment. The kids are definitely going to a trades school now.
