THEY ARE FAKE !!!! I EMAILED THE GALLERY AND THEY SAID ITS PURELY DONE BY STOT !!!! TOTALY UNBANKSY !!!! Im glad because if banksy did these sh!tty canvas's then he would have gone down hill fast !! If they would send emails around that they are actually from Banksy they might as well put it on the website. What did you except them to tell you. Yes those are real but we only tell one person by email.

People buying because 'they might actually be by the man' wake up and smell the roses! surprisingly, some people (like me) actually like STOT21 (some of the work anyway). At worst, it's "different". if anyone bought one of these thinking it's a Banksy, you are a total mug, especially since they are 35 quid. I'm quite a lover of the piss take genre/smart work in general.

I'm suprised the aquarium sold these. Doesn't it lower their credibility somewhat?

Yep I reckon your right still born, really can't see what has been gained from all of this, sure it would be slightly amusing to knock one up out of boredom and then stick it in the window and see what happened. But to then produce more and sell them on as maybe a Banksy is somewhat kak, I suppose it does highlight the point that people are buying into a brand regardless of the quality and that is what Banksy has now become. If you are thrust into the limelite there is nothing you can do to avoid it however clever you may be. Just needs to get that name copyrighted now.

This is ridiculous, the gallery quite clearly stated the pieces are by STOT21stCplanB but because they have the Banksy tag on them and a stupid story they sell out, mad.
Why not go to ebay, there's loads of stuff there that has the Banksy tag on them, some quite clearly state they're not actually genuine Banksy's and they're pretty cheap, at least that way you get something that looks like a Banksy.

I'm suprised the aquarium sold these. Doesn't it lower their credibility somewhat? I think you'll find The Aquarium have a different approach to other galleries who might care about that sort of thing. ie. they couldn't give a s**t. Considering who they represent (their whole ethos, history, where they came from and what they represent) and their clientele, this type of statement strongly enforces their credibility in my eyes.

I bought one, and I'm still laughing about it, as they take my money to the bank.

In their own words... "You're probably thinking we're stretching the joke a bit thin now... which we are." "You might also be wondering how many more of these we will do." "The answer is... We'll keep making them as long as you keep buying them." probably best if no one buys any more then...

Good to see they are going back with the real deal: the bunnies Still, I would have liked to see a minimalist "without bunny no carrot" or/and "without carrot no bunny" ;D Impatient to see the future ones. But, with the mention "We'll keep making them as long as you keep buying them", people might, quite irrationally, stop buying them

Otherwise you could maybe try to call Laz to see if they have some . Did anybody try to call them to ask if they had one of the 35£ "Banksy" original canvas for sale? ;D

I haven't bought one but I do think it is very funny, particularly the bunny, carrot etc. A well executed joke. If these became collectable I wouldn't be too surprised.

There we go. Soon on ebay. Considering that Banksy hasn't released anything in a while - those gives us at least something to talk about. Does anyone know what Banksy is waiting for? Is he spending his money in the Caribbean, saving the rain forest? Waiting out his contract with POW/LAZ to go somewhere else? Any ideas?

But the ugliness of this art doesn't really matter, because even if Banksy made the ugliest piece of crap you'd ever seen, if he signed his name to it, most of us would still be fighting for it He already did that, it was called 'Toxic Mary'. There's a reason that took ages to sell from POW: It's s**t! I regretted not "snapping one up", then slapped myself in the face for even thinking that, because if I had I would have been the worst kind of flipper - buying an artwork I actually thought was s**t, just to make a few (thousand) bob.
