Could Banksy afford to buy a Banksy print?, by Deleted on Sept 14, 2017 15:44:22 GMT 1, Certainly the origins of Street Art are very important to the progression of the movement which we know as Urban Art but as far as the Impact of Street Art on Art History is it or would it not be difficult to document,I know it has been already documented but as far as putting things into Museums as all the fundamental pieces are now lost to the history books (hope that makes sense) I was never really into the Graffiti scene as my career at the time never brought me into contact with it, It is only through my obsession with Urban art in my latter years have I come to see it's importance and it's beauty, funnily enough I met a guy at the weekend who was a ardent student from the 90's Graff scene, I was shocked at his reaction to the word Banksy!! True about the physical remnants of street art. And everyone hates that guy who cuts out he banksys, what's his name? Maybe we should be celebrating him! Haha Just one more reply and I will leave it at that, I am seeing him again this weekend, apparently he was a pretty big name in the Northern Graff scene back in the day and won a few competitions, promises of bringing me a few sprayed canvases to look at with a view to buying but we will see, seemed to know his stuff though so you never know. One more thing, really nice to have a pleasant chat about art, thank you Rouen Cathedral
