Donald Trump, by stelio on Jun 1, 2019 1:58:45 GMT 1, This administration is probably hoping for that. Gotta give his fan based something to be fired up about come election cycle. Sprinkle in a little War with the Iran and he will probably coast to reelection, unfortunately. Although the sad part is he doesnโt have to do any of it to get 4 more years. The DNC will once again stack the deck in favor of the candidate it likes the most, Biden, like they did for HRC last election cycle. It will once again be one of the main reasons Trump will win in 2020. I don't see any evidence of the DNC stacking the deck this time like there was for Hillary. I think they've been incredibly open regarding potential candidates. What are we at, almost 20 Dem candidates having met the thresholds to be included in the first debate? Last year there were only Clinton, Sanders, and OMalley. And they've also doubled the number debates as well, from 6 to 12. Still a long way to go and the DNC could still F it up, but they're doing the right stuff so far.ย While I'm here, I'll point out that with the recent stock market swoon, Donald now ranks 4th out of the last 5 presidents in stock market (DJIA) performance through 28 months of presidency. Obama: +57.1% Clinton: +34.9%ย GHWBush: +29.3% Trump: +26.7 GWBush: -18.7%.ย
If you don't think the DNC will tip the scales again then you havenโt been paying close enough attention. They just wonโt be as blatant as they were last time. Unless Biden gets hit with some major scandals before primary, its already over, he will get the democratic nomination. Wont matter that Bernie will pack out stadiums again with 20-30k+ people like he did last election cycle. Pete wonโt stand a chance because heโs openly gay and the DNC knows it wonโt win a General Election with an openly gay man. They need to pull votes from undecided and even some red states win the General Election and Pete canโt get that done. Beto fever is over and everyone else is even a less of chance. They could allow 50 people to debate... it wonโt matter.
To answer southbound question on where we are, I currently live in Virginia but have lived in every time zone in the USA - 13 states in total.

Donald Trump, by blerd on Jun 1, 2019 8:51:00 GMT 1, Curious, why might you think so? I think it is always important to understand the lens through which people view events / life when engaged in (or observing) a debate. In regards to Politics, your location is a โlensโ that can provide a lot of insight. One guy who trolls an Art forum with an almost comedy contrarian view to most right thinking creatives provides you with a "lens that can provide a lot of insight" I'm baffled. The only way this makes sense is if you are actually Trump himself. In which case true to form.

Am I missing something? Illegal immigrants can't vote in Federal Elections. Yes, you're missing the part where republicans delude themselves in to thinking that their popular vote losses are because of millions of illegal immigrants voting for Dems. Its really funny because Donald started a special committee to look in to this after the election (you remember, the one he still says he won the popular vote despite losing by nearly 3M votes) and it had to disband after two meetings because there was nothing to investigate. It was headed by Kris Kobach, who tried to pass a restrictive voter registration law in Kansas that got laughed out of court (the judge in the case ruled that Kobach, a Yale trained lawyer, had to take a class on the rules of evidence or procedure). His grand evidence was that 11 illegal immigrants had successfully voted in Kansas in the last 14 years. Its really really funny because the most well known recent case of voter fraud actually came from a Republican in NC whose paid campaign consultant was collecting ballots and either destroying them if they voted for the Dem or filling them in for the Rep if the voter hadn't cast a vote for that race. Of course, the sad part is that as republicans continue to hold on to this delusion the direction they choose to go is to make voting harder and harder because they know that the higher the turnout, the worse their chances are. So they choose to do things like closing voting locations in areas where Dems are concentrated, withholding voting machines in those areas, making voter registration drives more difficult, and trying to make it illegal to provide transportation to/from voting locations to people who aren't direct relatives.

Of course, if Republicans could stop being so racist, immigrants would start voting for them more frequently. But they just can't help themselves.

I'd love for their to be better options besides the traditional two parties, on that we can agree.
How about some accountability for all of this money the Republicans gave away in their tax bill? That hasn't paid for itself and has only caused the national debt to increase. They're supposed to be the party of fiscal responsibility. With respect to 'explaining how we are supposed to pay for...' there are a variety of plans the 2020 candidates have proposed to close tax loopholes and get corporations and the wealthy to finally pay their share.
We can support tax paying americans. We just don't. Instead we build briges to nowhere, develop fighter jets that don't fly, provide bailouts to companies that don't need it, etc.

One phrase in your comment stood out for me, that those paying tax are โtaxed to the extremeโ. Now, of course, what might be extreme is somewhat subjective. You might consider something to be extreme that I do not. But I was unaware of income tax rates in America so I looked them up. I believe the following is the current list of rates:
Taxpayers fall into one of seven brackets, depending on their taxable income: 10%, 12%, 22%, 24%, 32%, 35% or 37%. Because the U.S. tax system is a progressive one, as income rises, increasingly higher taxes are imposed. But those in the highest bracket don't pay the highest rate on all their income.
I also looked up how much tax this equates to. I could only find 2017 details, but I canโt imagine itโs changed too much since then. This is what I read:
According to a recent survey of nearly 130,000 American consumers, the average American spends $10,489 each year in federal, state, and local income taxes. That might sound like a lot, but it's actually only 14% of the average survey respondent's gross income.
In the UK the tax bands are 0, 25, 40 and 45%. Add to that council tax. I happen to think that taxes in the UK need to be increased. Itโs needed to keep funding the NHS, education and to resolve the care crisis. With an increasing and ageing population, this seems inevitable.
Unless Iโm missing something, and Iโm more than happy to be corrected, as I am in unfamiliar territory, I canโt see how the phrase โtaxed to the extremeโ can be justified.

The democrat politicians in the US, particularly at the local level are trying to turn big cities into all inclusive resorts for the poor and the illegals....with only 'the evil rich people will pay for it'....this is a huge issue as its becoming a generational thing...here where i am, if you are in any way in the 'system' or taking a subsidy, there is very little motivation to get off the system, because you wont be able to get a job that affords you to stay here. the dems have done a great marketing job of making you think anyone that disagrees with doing this is 'racist'...which is awful
great example: the fed hands the local government money to to improve the trains that are falling apart...the local government in an attempt to win favor with their base decide to give free rail tickets to all of those that are living on the 'system' either in housing or otherwise subsidized...EVEN IF THEY DONT REQUIRE IT....so how is the city going to pay for the necessary improvements for the rest of us...more importantly why do you need to give free tickets to somebody that doesnt need a rail ticket to get to a job??? same can be said for NYC where a homeless shelter bed costs $60K....a year per bed....clearly there is a better way to support these people...and its something that if it doesnt already....soon will be too big of an issue to support without breaking the backs of those paying taxes....
we are seeing the cost of basic services rise for the paying customer to support those that dont or cant.
all i am asking for is accountability and a path to participating...which is part of the conversation the dems dont want to have or their base is unwilling to do....leading us to a much bigger issue than what is before us.
ah....the old party line stories....wa wa wa....i am neither a dem or a repliblican...but i really wish a democrat would teach the others how to balance a checkbook and do math.....how about some accountability for all of this money the dems are giving away or explaining how we are supposed to pay for the infrastructure to support these people that dont pay taxes and 'hopefully' throw 'their' kids in on schools. We cant support tax paying americans...yet are forced to support those that cant afford to be here to begin with while other well qualified money earning taxable resources that follow the process cant come. but you want to talk elections...lets talk about the dems trying to get every resource possible to vote....people in jails, criminals, illegals...living in a sanctuary city, taxable residents (of any color) are just viewed as cows....taxed to the extreme so the politicians can offer more free crap to people that will never pay it back One phrase in your comment stood out for me, that those paying tax are โtaxed to the extremeโ. Now, of course, what might be extreme is somewhat subjective. You might consider something to be extreme that I do not. But I was unaware of income tax rates in America so I looked them up. I believe the following is the current list of rates: Taxpayers fall into one of seven brackets, depending on their taxable income: 10%, 12%, 22%, 24%, 32%, 35% or 37%. This is what I read: According to a recent survey of nearly 130,000 American consumers, the average American spends $10,489 each year in federal, state, and local income taxes. Unless Iโm missing something, and Iโm more than happy to be corrected, as I am in unfamiliar territory, I canโt see how the phrase โtaxed to the extremeโ can be justified. the tax rates are not the issue, at the moment, its the crumbling and over used infrastructure that is paying the cost as well as the quality of living while the budgets ballon for subsidies and the real issues that effect the tax payers are left to rot....you can see this now in the debate for improving our infrastructure...the gov't is going to have to raise rates to pay for the infrastructure improvements, because every other dime is spent on proping up those that cant afford to participate or are here illegally and dont. Donald Trump, by walfredo on Jun 2, 2019 15:47:02 GMT 1, ah....the old party line stories....wa wa wa....i am neither a dem or a repliblican...but i really wish a democrat would teach the others how to balance a checkbook and do math.....how about some accountability for all of this money the dems are giving away or explaining how we are supposed to pay for the infrastructure to support these people that dont pay taxes and 'hopefully' throw 'their' kids in on schools. We cant support tax paying americans...yet are forced to support those that cant afford to be here to begin with while other well qualified money earning taxable resources that follow the process cant come. Instead we build briges to nowhere, develop fighter jets that don't fly, provide bailouts to companies that don't need it, etc. you are talking about an issue that will and does exist in both parties....i am looking at you Bill Deblasio andthe mayor of balitimore and chicago, etc...i am more interested in how we are going to get everyone to participate in the system...either illegal or poor....the answer is not tax the rich...the answer is to ensure people are educated to a point that they can afford to pay for themselves. government should be a safety net....not a hammock...and there is too much of that right now. i would take it to an extreme that if you dont graduate high school and expect to live on welfare, you have to go into the military to be eligible....at least at that point somebody is trying to knock some sense into you. please keep in mind, i live in a very big city, where the gross misuse of taxpayer dollars for those that dont participate is enough to make you sick

The words you were looking for were "where the disparity between the haves and have nots is enough to make you sick". At least thats the human version of what you said.

What makes me sick is you crazed lefties wanting to hand out more and more money taken from the 'haves' that lived responsible productive lives and then hand that money through irresponsible and improductive government programs to people that should get their own shit in order instead of holding up their hands.
Socialism is a fucking curse.

Fuck personal, you deserve it. You happily treat others far worse for things way out of their own control, and blame them for it.

At least i would see themlooked after, fed, housed and clothed for their service ffs. Yes, a curse that is going to take over, it has no choice or it will be class war at some point.

Donald Trump, by Deleted on Jun 2, 2019 17:47:30 GMT 1, so avoid my point about holding people accountable and helping to pay their own way...all you are saying is lets divert that money so we can pay for more people without holding them accountable. how does that fix anything? ? thanks for making it personal by the way...you are probably a real classy individual. I think its safe to say they have a way better moral compass than you do. That comment is reflective of the vile attitude that seems to want to flood the world with a total lack of respect for human life. There is literally f**kall classy about that, its scum mindset. f**kpersonal, you deserve it. You happily treat others far worse for things way out of their own control, and blame them for it. Spoken like a true post modernist that has an absolute disregard for personal responsibility and just sees the world in oppressed classes and battles for power.
To everyone that also feels deep down that this way of thinking is the moral bankruptcy of the west: treat yourself to some Jordan Peterson video's about this and break free of this insane lefty ideology.

Donald Trump, by Deleted on Jun 2, 2019 17:48:57 GMT 1, Most of the have nots have fucked up their own lives, so it makes sense for them to have less than the haves that actually took care of themselves and made good responsible choices. What makes me sick is you crazed lefties wanting to hand out more and more money taken from the 'haves' that lived responsible productive lives and then hand that money through irresponsible and improductive government programs to people that should get their owns**t in order instead of holding up their hands. Socialism is a f**kingcurse. If your happy with that first statement, then theres little point. Its possibly one of more naive and ill-conceived things you have said in a while. LOL you actually believe this vile shit. My post before this was partly joking. You people scare the fuck out of me. Do we really need 100 million more people to die to draw the conclusion that socialism is a fucking cancer?

Donald Trump, by Prive on Jun 2, 2019 17:48:59 GMT 1, you are talking about an issue that will and does exist in both parties....i am looking at you Bill Deblasio andthe mayor of balitimore and chicago, etc...i am more interested in how we are going to get everyone to participate in the system...either illegal or poor....the answer is not tax the rich...the answer is to ensure people are educated to a point that they can afford to pay for themselves. government should be a safety net....not a hammock...and there is too much of that right now. i would take it to an extreme that if you dont graduate high school and expect to live on welfare, you have to go into the military to be eligible....at least at that point somebody is trying to knock some sense into you. please keep in mind, i live in a very big city, where the gross misuse of taxpayer dollars for those that dont participate is enough to make you sick Do you have any statistics to back your assertion that high percentages of social services are going to the lazy? Fraud exists. Welfare fraud, Medicare fraud (just ask Rick Scott!), etc. but I haven't seen any reputable study claim that "every dime" is going to illegals or lazy inner city people. I'd love to see a study compare social services costs due to the lazy/illegals vs social services costs due to inflated health care costs.

Its your vile attitude towards people in need that makes me think your scum. simple as that really. not going to bother sugaring a pill, there are so many ways life can fall apart for which people are just not responsible. to ignore that and stand by your hatefull opinion is uterly inhumane, so i couldnt give a toss how this sounds to you.
