WSM Where to Meet, What to See & Recommendations, by Daniel Silk on Aug 21, 2015 14:11:53 GMT 1, Sadly I'm not going to be able to get to this show Some people have asked if I got a invite to the show opening. I knew I was never going to be able to attend this event, so I was not worried about an invite for myself, but I did contact Banksy's people trying to get invites for all the Forum Guardians, but I had no reply Sorry lads.

Thanks Same here, driving there on a thursday, visiting Friday. If it's not too hard to get in we might be tempted to go thursdaynight as well. Or let me put it this way, do you want to see this both day and nighttime?
Got there around 19:00 last night and it took 15 mins to get in. Definitely go in the evening, as soon as it got dark was amazing.

Definitely worth seeing it in the day and night - as said, it is two different experiences....you can't take it all in on one visit anyway. You need to go and enjoy it all, come away and chat with others, then find there is loads you missed so return and repeat.
Got in twice, thought I'd seen absolutely everything there was to see and am now sitting in Essex cursing as more and more continues to unfold that I missed.

WSM Where to Meet, What to See & Recommendations, by 11 on Aug 24, 2015 14:22:18 GMT 1, I actually stayed in a very nice B&B that was a 3 minute walk away.
It was called the Beverley, very nice clean roms and fantastic breakfast. The showers wasn't the best in the world but I've had many that were far worse. The owners were great and very accommodating.
If you wander down the road dead opposite Dismaland - literally dead opposit the entrance. My hotel was the second road on the left down there. To the right was a newsagents and a few other shops.
If you stay in the 'resort' part of WSM then you are looking at 15-20 min walk so definitely worth checking out
And they really would appreciate the custom as being away from the main road they are already being by-passed as people are drawn to the sparkly lights of the main town
And great little newsagents with tea rooms out the back

WSM Where to Meet, What to See & Recommendations, by overend on Aug 25, 2015 9:51:43 GMT 1, If you are staying in Bristol try to do the Where the Wall Street art tour. All are good with the added bonus that you might get John Nation as your guide.

WSM Where to Meet, What to See & Recommendations, by marigot on Aug 25, 2015 11:51:55 GMT 1, All booked for thursday next week. Staying in Bristol till saturday so any recommendations regarding food, drinks and sights are welcome. Not sure how much time we'll have for other stuff as we'll be trying to get in to Dismaland as much as we can.
Hi, there is a nice Indian take away (with a table for 4 if you want to eat in) at the top of St Michael's Hill called Tiffins (www.tiffins-bristol.com) Nick Walker gave me this adress when i met him in London The owners Nick and Jay are incredibly kind , the food is very healthy and affordable (40ยฃ for 4) , the Vandal occupies an entire wall and there is a chance you might cross Nick W if he is in town (happened to me and he invite me and family for a visit to his studio)

Never been to Bristol and with two planned trips to Dismaland another few hours of just streetart might be overkill?
It's a walking tour so you will see some of the best and some of the less salubrious parts. It is a street art tour though.
