BANKSY Curated Show "Dismaland" in Weston-super-Mare, by reg on Sept 5, 2015 21:15:13 GMT 1, Is it me, or does the entrance on the Dismaland logo look like a silhouette / profile of a head. Perhaps Banksy's?
Or am I overly scrutinizing, in the absence of actually visiting?

BANKSY Curated Show "Dismaland" in Weston-super-Mare, by Finsbury on Sept 5, 2015 21:30:57 GMT 1, Home from last nights escapades..what a mother load of a comedown this is! I wish this would just stay open forever and become Dismaland - Banksy HQ. We got to see what we missed last week this time, Gallery and the Caravan (what a mistake that was after a pizza!). Grim reaper was so freaky but fun doing his thing to Stayin' Alive, Cauty's work was incredible, absolutely massive (he said it has been increased in size on his website but not sure when this was) some serious man hours spent on that. Staff were on top of their game last night almost as if they were trying to make a special night with Fatboy Slim and Run the jewels as dismal as possible! The Duck-in-muck staff had my son trying for about 30 minutes constantly throwing ducks at ones he was trying to hook which in the end had him so frustrated he asked if he can just hook the pelican in the middle instead to which he got an obvious reply! In the end they just gave him the fish finger for being their most persistent player. Next up we went to try and bag some bling, at first their was a lad on their who had 'no rules' when i asked him. Knock over the cans was the only instruction so after a couple of pointless attempts with the cork gun my son whispers to me what about using a stone (i was shocked he even thought of it but win at all costs was the order of the day I'm ashamed now to say) so he did just that, the guy said well done and handed him the two chains! We had one more shot and now he said use the cork this time and i said to Jamie just throw the gun in but we lost our nerve and took our loot. Next up was the unbeatable Anvil, again i asked the rules and he said 'knock over the Anvil with the Anvil' i was in pure bad dad mode by now so just said to Jamie to jump over pick the smaller one up and knock the other one off!' Luckily common sense resumed just in time and the safety implications of a ten year old trying to lift a mega heavy lump of metal to knock over another even more heavy one flashed in front of my eyes. Music wise it was superb, when we were in the gallery i saw Geoff Barrow of Portishead with RTJ, Portishead have been my favourite band and i finally got to meet an absolute legend in my eyes which was worth the trip alone. FBS had the crowd rocking playing out of the bar by the stage even when he dropped the 'Let it go' song from frozen, bizarrely. RTJ were incredible, the energy and the hardcore rap has to be admired even if like me its not your favourite genre. People were crowd surfing, even a member of staff and at one stage Killer Mike had to ask the crowd to take a step back as some girls were getting a bit cramped down the front. They shut it down at 11pm which we thought was strange as last friday it was 1am but who knows was it just so everyone had to leave with a little dissapointment..still a wicked night and hope to do it all again for Massive Attack.
Ps. If you do bribe-a-kid to bag a balloon make sure their under 14 first as thats the rule..apparently.

BANKSY Curated Show "Dismaland" in Weston-super-Mare, by Finsbury on Sept 5, 2015 21:50:33 GMT 1, No he definitely said 'with' the anvil. When we walked away he threw us a badge which kinda made us feel like we'd won anyway and it was far easier bringing that home than the anvil! The badge reads 'Strive for excellence'. Haha

I didn't think there was any harm in this eBay link because I cannot imagine anyone on here being crazy enough to buy it.

I like the suggestion that if your planning on eating the pizza you may wish to upgrade the postage.

I'll see your pizza with pebble and raise you some Dismaland gravel (grey colourway):
eBay item: 161815670118
I can't believe these stones are ebayable. And I picked one out of my shoe as well. What an idiot. I could have paid for my trip there.
Edit: BOOM! And with that post, I become a 6-star forum member. Now allowed to access the VIP room at Dismaland. In your faces!

I would like to bid just so I can find out where they live and go and slap em around the face with the pizza!!! And maybe if time allows I will fashion a sling shot with the wristband and fire the pebble into their eye balls! And having done this I would then gladly leave positive feedback.

that gravel is rather nice, shame he only has the grey version, never really liked the grey.
All this talk of pizza reminds me that many moons ago I saw someone selling a half eaten piece of pizza that the alleged had been left by the legend that is Chris Morris. It was at that point that I realised this world is completely crackers.

BANKSY Curated Show "Dismaland" in Weston-super-Mare, by RoboJ on Sept 6, 2015 11:34:13 GMT 1, Had a great time revisiting Dismaland yesterday. It had changed quite a bit since my first visit in the opening day. Great to meet Darren Cullen, really nice guy. The only down side was because it was so busy the staff hurried people around the James' miniature village. If we stopped we would be moaned at to keep moving. Its understandable due to the queues but it was a real shame because the point of seeing it was in The details. Other than that, another great night!

We are waiting now on ebay for real air from WSM with a bit of sea spray in a coconut's can box ! :-)
* Speaking about food and feed, Dismaland ate them all ! In a month, I did not see another thread or happy post on another street-artist... Invader is still posting some aliens on IG.. But who cares, at this time ? Big ( Banksy ) month innit ?

BANKSY Curated Show "Dismaland" in Weston-super-Mare, by Dr Plip on Sept 6, 2015 12:29:41 GMT 1, Talked to some guy leaving the diorama (not your regular dismal staff) he said that they were collecting info on the people that sold/bought the miniature policemen on EBay, so maybe there will be some consequences for those assholes afterall.. I won't hold my breath for a prosecution, but it does suck that people are basically breaking bits off of it and proudly saying as much on eBay.
Like many others, I found that the Cauty model was fantastic to see, but you were rather rushed around it, not giving you much time to take it all in. Sadly, with people nicking bits of it, they're hardly likely to let people take their time around it now. Next time, maybe out of arm's reach? Opera glasses for the masses to look at it with.

The one they claim they purchased from the Dismaland gift shop. If you're on here. Are you telling the truth? Are you? Because Jesus knows if you lie.

I went last night and the staff wouldn't let people stop and look. Everyone was being moved along which was a real shame as I was really looking forward to having another real good look at the detail. I felt this was down to queues but may be to do with bits being stolen. There was certainly higher fencing in places and some of the bits missing. The lighting was also blanded, the first day different lights would come up and down to reveal each scene. Such a shame
