Os Gemeos @99prints, by kultur on Mar 21, 2014 17:55:59 GMT 1, Here's mine. I would never have gone for this frame on my own, but my framer convinced me and I'm very happy with it. Love the framing on this, but hope you keep in contact with this framer as this print looks like it is already warped from forcing the print to relax/flatten. The corners are even lifting, which tells me it was forced flat and should have relaxed for longer. It is so important to let prints flatten as naturally as possible. Also looks like the framer put hinges in the middle of the print on the sides so it time it will most likely bow more. My Eelus After The Rain handfinished took almost 6 weeks to flatten, but it was worth it as it is very flat now. I have an Aryz Planted print that was not flattened properly and 2 years later the corners slowly keep on curling more.

Os Gemeos @99prints, by eschiff on Mar 21, 2014 20:39:45 GMT 1, I didn't float mine because it vaguely annoyed me all the edges weren't deckled, but i had a print floated once and i got really annoyed with the ripples, have had everything matted since then including this print.

These guys are the only one in Norway I trust with my expensive prints. They are without a doubt the best framer in Norway. I think the pictures lies because it looks much straighter in real life.

Os Gemeos @99prints, by chads007 on Mar 21, 2014 23:15:08 GMT 1, The bottom right definitely looks curled up. Large pieces do naturally 'wave' on the sides between hinge points when floated, but not on the corners like yours, so definitely keep an eye on it if you didn't take the time to flatten it naturally especially given how expensive it was

Os Gemeos @99prints, by kultur on Mar 22, 2014 0:21:23 GMT 1, Not trying to upset you, just telling you ... as a framer in a past life ... that you should keep communication with the framer as over time you probably will need to have this adjusted and/or properly flatten it for a couple weeks. My suggestion is the sooner the better, but if you are fine with it then no problem.
I have almost everything I own floated in the frame, and they only get worse over time when they aren't given the proper time/ handling before initially framing. I have had to take prints out of frame and have them sit flat for weeks and then with some extra weight just to get them really flat. Some framers will actually curl the prints the opposite way to get them flat... all this does is breaks the fibers of the paper even further... might make it look flat, but not the right way. That is one reason I frame everything I own.
Some of the most annoying things I have had to frame are Penny dollars... most of them I have had to reframe at least 2-3 times as they love to curl and they started flat.
