New faile 150 series, by randomname on Jul 9, 2013 18:19:46 GMT 1, Pic of the OG at the ballet Much nicer than the 150 series. But for $150, I'm still going to try for it.

New faile 150 series, by letiss on Jul 9, 2013 18:53:15 GMT 1, Resellers & galleries will be salivating. U KNOW WHO U R Not so sure. The prices have seemed generally pretty steady on eBay for the other versions and in fact if you shopped around many of them could've been bought around cost. Think the exception was the wolf one.

The prices have seemed generally pretty steady on eBay for the other versions and in fact if you shopped around many of them could've been bought around cost. Think the exception was the wolf one. The 150 series gets flipped like crazy due to the lower cost. The prints in the $500+ range are a lot harder to flip for a profit.

I think Letiss' (valid) point is that there's not been much headroom for armchair speculators, maybe as a % yes, but in monetary terms, no. Which begs the question why bother?
Love the imagery here though, looks great.

Love the imagery here though, looks great. I don't think that's the case with the 150 series. I see them getting flipped for about $250-$300 on ebay. About 20%-30% of every release seems to find its way there.
It was easier to track when ebay let you view completed auctions. I kept pretty close tabs on the Sweet Sins release out of curiosity.

Which they've been doing on their past few releases.
The easiest way to find out is to like their page on Facebook. They'll post the release details on there tomorrow.

She obviously got tired of people criticizing her technically-deficient, completely unorthodox ballet moves, said "fuck it" and jumped.

New faile 150 series, by randomname on Jul 9, 2013 23:17:18 GMT 1, Orthodox isn't a term used in ballet. I think you may be referring to the difference between traditional ballet and modern dance. Regardless, ballet companies, including the New York Ballet, perform both traditional ballets and modern dance. If you were to ask, I think you would find they based the pose on a photograph from the Ballet's archive.

If you were to ask, I think you would find they based the pose on a photograph from the Ballet's archive. Incorrect, im assured by an old friend who is Russian and ex Ballet dancer that it is a term that is still used,i have been a fan of Ballet (not modern dance) for many years, i know exactly what i am trying to say so please dont presume to tell me. Because Canale (3rd rate clogtapper IMO) has a pic of himself in that pose doesnt make it a Ballet move. Try the Bolshoi instead of the NY Riverdance set.
Im sure the print will be a huge success anyhow.

That's not exactly true. My girlfriend is in the ballet. She assures me the correct term is either "traditional" or "classical" ballet. While "orthodox" may be used colloquially, it is not a technical term used in the ballet. Google it and you'll find that most of your results will pertain to teaching ballet to Orthodox Jews. As your friend is Russian, I'll assume it's a language issue.
Regardless, if you knew exactly what you were trying to say, I don't think you would have said the pose is "technically impossible." As you can plainly see, it is possible. And as I hinted at before, Faile based their images on stills from the NYCB archive.
That said, I don't know why I'm arguing. You're looking at a ballet dancer performing the exact same jump and telling me it's impossible. This conversation is ridiculous.
