 Banksy's Bristol
« Thread Started on Nov 28, 2007, 11:01am »

I managed to get a look at this book last night, and it looks amazing!! I didn;t have time to read all of the text, but there's some great photo's....some apparently provided by Banksy to replace pics that he thought might reveal his identity :P

Think its released next week or so and can be preordered here: http://www.tangentbooks.co.uk/index.php?pageNo=381

well worth the £12....and no, i don;t work for them :D

Think it's out already as had a quick flick through it yesterday in waterstones. Still, as someone who contributed a load of info to it, i'm still waiting for my free copy! Does look like it's turned out well though...

It's £7.92 on Amazon.co.uk at the mo... (free delivery on orders over £15) but as it hasn't been released don't know if you'd be able to guarantee it for Xmas...

Nice big Banksy article in today's new Venue off the back of this book release too - couldn't see if anyone had made a thread about it already?

Someone mentioned on a previous thread that the author is doing a talk at a bookshop in Bristol. I've tried searching for the old thread but can't find it.....
Anyone know anything about it?

PS Hello edholder...... I did your archive filing at your work last year for a couple of weeks!!

Arrived this morning and like a real tosser I put it on the coffee table....joking, actually had a real good look through it and will read in earnest over the next few days. There's some great work in there and its nice to see in print some of the work that i have seen in real life too, especially some of the less known pieces like the Flies in the tattoo shop....great christmas present for any of your banksy following pals.

Had a look through this book last night at the Guerilla Gallery opening...
Not bad, will have to have a bit longer to read the text and stuff but some of the old Bristol stuff is documented which is good for those that didnt see it all when it was alive.
Gotta say though, i was disapointed with the image quality in some of the pictures - very pixelated and 'out of focus' looking.
A bit of a shame really...

Apparently...

6th December: launch of the new book on Banksy in Bristol - 6- 8 at Arnolfini, 8-12 at the Apple, with live graffiti ;D
For those that don't know The Apple is a floating cider bar on a boat in Bristol. :D :D
Sounds lush

Got mine today too, it does look good, well put together, lots of pictures and words :D

Right up to date too, even got the latest work of the police sniper & boy with paper bag in it, the now painted out Glastonbury frisk piece, plus a few I've never seen before, looking forward to reading it this weekend.

Go out to you local bookstores or go on line and buy it!
