Street Pieces - Canvas, MDF & Glue
« Thread Started on Apr 27, 2008, 10:58am »

I've been knocking out a few '99p store' canvases and these should appear around Brighton over the next week. No story. no message .... just bright colours and happy pictures!!

(oh .. and a big thanks to North Road Timber for all those offcuts that you leave outside for us artists every night)

Thanks for all the great comments : The weather has been poor so I've not managed to get as many of these out as I was hoping. Things are looking more promising for the next few days.

The orchid is on a gold sprayed canvas ...

Just made me realise that I really need to up my game in terms of sheer size and quality of work. It was really amazing to be able to get up with such amazing artists.

really eye-catching and enjoyable work. My fave is the one with it all going on (orchid, girl, dog, Japanese writing) Brilliant piece! But they're all fun, vibrant pieces. Keep it up!

It's a Shiba-Inu which is the same type of dog as the owner Yota's (Mango & Tesco). My original trial stencil is on the outside of Nasty Nip next to the door. The new ones are double the size.

I'm in Japan now for a couple of weeks getting ideas & taking photos of street art. I've found a great store that sells different grades of aluminium hole mesh (cheap) so I think I'm going to explore a lot of half tone stencils when I get back.
